A Heartfelt Farewell from The Bicycle Boutique

To our wonderful community of friends and riders,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce The Bicycle Boutique will be closing its doors for the last time on June 28th.

When we opened six years ago in Dunedin, our dream was to create a unique space where the joy of bike riding met the charm of a local gift shop. Whether you were stopping in for a hand-crafted treasure or heading out on a rental to explore the trails, you made our shop a vibrant part of the town. When we made the move to Safety Harbor 2 years ago we had high hopes of continuing that success. However, it wasn’t to be…. 

Navigating the current independent retail landscape has become an uphill journey we can no longer sustain. We’ve fought hard to stay open, but several factors including inflating rent costs, tariffs, increasing supply costs and the Amazon effect have forced our hand. The convenience of massive online retailers continues to pull traffic away from the unique, curated experiences only small shops can provide and sadly more and more local shops like ours are having to close their doors.

Our Farewell Sale & Final Dates

We want to go out with a bang!  We invite you to stop by, find a final gift or keepsake, and share one last memory with us.

• May 1st: Our Huge Sale begins. Most gifts, trinkets, boutique items and bike accessories must find a new home.
• May 19th: This will be the final day for bike rentals. Take one      last ride through the neighborhood!
• June 28th: We close the doors on this chapter.

A Final Thank You: > Thank you for six years of smiles, stories, and support. While our shop is closing, Lets Glow Riding will still be hosting occasional Glow Rides and you can still get your bike Lit!  Gypsea Blue will continue the adventure just as they always have at local Markets & Festivals and of course the Etsy shop.  

We hope the gifts you found here continue to bring joy to your homes. We hope the bike rides will forever bring you happy memories. Please continue to shop small whenever you can—local businesses are the heart of every community!
